Want to work together?

Here's the scoop...

Please read the following before booking:

Policies

A credit card is required to book and hold your spot. It will never be charged without your knowledge but please refer to the cancellation and no show policies below.

Cancellation/No Show Policy:

24-hour notice is required to reschedule or cancel an appointment.

If you cancel/reschedule less than 24-hours you will be charged 60% of the treatment cost. No shows/Cancellations within 2-hours will be charged the full service fee. There are no exceptions.  Future appointments cannot be made until the invoice is paid. Insurance providers do not cover missed appointment fees.

The fee will only be waived if you fill the spot and send someone in your place.

If I cancel/reschedule your appointment with less than 24-hours notice your next treatment fee is reduced by 60%. My professional relationship with my clients is built on mutual respect.

Reminders are sent one week and then 48 hours before your appointment so that you have ample time to reschedule before the 24-hour window begins.

I send these reminders as a courtesy but it is up to you to remember your appointment. You can easily cancel or reschedule your session using the links in your confirmation and reminder emails.

Please note that consecutive occurrences of booking and canceling may result in termination of the therapeutic relationship.

Late-Policy

Appointment starts as soon as we enter the treatment room. This includes an intake, discussion of treatment, and orthopaedic assessment when necessary. This is to ensure the best care and so you know exactly what to expect on the treatment table. Please be punctual so we have as much hands on time as possible.

I am unable to extend your appointment if you are running late and cannot change the fee, please arrive on time so you receive the most out of your session. I cannot be responsible for traffic/transit delays, please plan ahead.

Thank you for respecting my time.

F.A.Q

Do you only work with 2SLGBTQ+ people?

Allies are welcome at my practice.

Please keep in mind, due to increased demand, I prioritize care for the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

Thank you for respecting my policies and keeping this a safe space for the Queer community.

I’ve never had a massage before, what can I expect?

Before the treatment starts I will go through an intake with you to discuss your personal needs, we will work out a treatment plan that suits your comfort level. The discussion before the massage is key to tailoring a treatment that is perfect for you so there are no surprises when you get on the table. You have the right to alter or rescind your consent at any time of the treatment. If you have more questions or are nervous to get a massage I recommend contacting me before booking so we can discuss if a massage is right for you.

Do you do "Deep Tissue"?

"Deep tissue" is a subjective experience. Very deep work doesn't get rid of "knots", and can potentially damage tissue.

I always modify pressure to suit each individual and usually find the perfect balance of firm, therapeutic pressure. It is my goal to soothe your nervous system, find deep relaxation and provide safe touch.

If you are looking for very deep, rehabilitative work I can refer you to a colleague.

Do you offer direct billing?

Not at this time, receipts are e-mailed immediately after payment which can be used to submit to your insurance company. Most plans cover Registered Massage Therapy, it is up to you to review your specific coverage.

I'm sick/have to cancel my appointment

Please reschedule if you are feeling sick, the treatment won't be enjoyable if you are under the weather.

However, I do have a firm 24-hour cancellation policy that applies.

If you cancel, reschedule or no show for your appointment for any reason with less than 24 hours notice, the credit card on file will be charged 100% of the treatment cost

Alternatively, you can send a friend/family member to take your appointment.

Please refer to the Cancellation policy for more information. Thank you for respecting my time.

What are the payment methods?

Payments are via Square and include Visa, Mastercard, Interac, American Express, Google Pay, & Apple Pay.  Signed receipts are e-mailed immediately after payment and can be submitted to most extended health insurance plans. It is up to you to review your coverage.

What oil do you use?

I rotate between Apricot kernel oil, Unscented Lotion, and Biotone Gel. I have Holly oil on hand for any skin sensitivities.

Do I have to talk the entire session?

After the intake, I will only ask you questions relevant to the treatment and to check in to make sure you are feeling comfortable. I always follow your lead and will never make small talk unless you want to chat.

Do I need to remove all my clothes?

I will only undrape the area that I’m working on, so you are essentially always covered. How much you remove is totally up to you as the draping will keep you secure. Still uncomfortable removing your clothes? No problem! I can treat you fully clothed.

Should I tip?

I do not accept tips as a healthcare professional. Referring a friend or leaving a review is a great way to support a small business.

Is there free parking available?

Yes. You can park anywhere in the Creeds parking lot.

Is this space accessible?

Unfortunately no, there are stairs leading up to the studio If this is an issue I can refer you to some clinics with accessible spaces.
